The Island of Guernsey, 1690. As echoes of the island's witch trials linger, a recluse farmer must quickly hide his connection to the forces of nature before it’s too late. Based on a folk tale dating back to 18/19th centuries and extensive research into the history of the island, the film searches for the truth in the myth, exploring the fight between nature and order, witchcraft and religion.
