SHORT FILM FUNDING MADE SIMPLE
Genera is a London based company providing filmmakers worldwide an alternative way to fund their short films. Main funding rounds and shorter snap rounds are open 365 days a year. Entrants can also get access to free & discounted Camera kit hire, and deals and discounts from their 60+ partners.
Christian Parton says ‘Funding is a common challenge for filmmakers and we don’t want it to be. That’s why we’ve come up with a much simpler solution that actually serves filmmakers’.
It only takes a matter of minutes to apply to the main rounds and submissions are accepted at any point during the 3 month round. You can also amend and update your application at any time up until the final day. Once you’ve set up a profile you can add multiple projects. Genera has four rounds a year so that straightforward funding is always available.
Genera is keen to help those producing short films no matter the stage of the project, so accepts projects in development through to Festival run.
If your project gets awarded funding all the creative control remains firmly in your hands. Unlike other funding platforms Genera wants you to stay in charge of every aspect of your short film, this is no strings attached funding.
